Extraordinary press conference of DG ISPR, no question left

On Thursday, it was suddenly reported that Major General Babar Iftikhar, the spokesman of the Pakistan Armed Forces, would hold a press conference at 3 o'clock.

The ISPR hall for the press conference was packed with journalists and everyone was asking questions. At exactly 3:05 a.m., the DG ISPR entered the room and greeted all the journalists.

The ISPR press conference usually consists of a lengthy briefing on the security situation, followed by a few questions, one of which is about the political situation.

But at the beginning of today's press conference, Major General Babar Iftikhar clarified that there will be a two-three minute briefing regarding the Formation Commanders Conference which will take place two days ago and then the questions that are on your mind will be answered.

As soon as I heard this, I wrote three or four questions on a piece of paper and if given a chance, I would ask the answer to one and a half of them.

But as soon as the questions started, the first question that came to my mind was from another journalist who asked if there was any mention of American conspiracy in the National Security Committee meeting.

Giving a very detailed answer to this, the DG said, "The military leadership gave its clear position in this meeting and it is also mentioned in the declaration." Will not get

The words of the statement issued after the National Security Committee meeting came to my mind. The statement did not mention any threat or US conspiracy, but former Prime Minister Imran Khan repeatedly said in his meetings that the US had conspired against him and the opposition had become a part of it and brought a no-confidence motion against his government. Ended up

However, one question was that if the American conspiracy was not proved by the letter, then why it was decided to call the American ambassador and record the protest and why was it mentioned in the statement?

When I asked the same question to the Pakistan Army spokesman, he clarified that since non-diplomatic language was used in the letter which was tantamount to interfering in Pakistan's internal affairs, the decision was taken and the decision was not meant. That there was a conspiracy.

According to State Department experts, most countries complain of interference in internal affairs, even last year when American singer Rehana tweeted in favor of protesting farmers in India, India called it interference in internal affairs. Was

The DG ISPR was asked if the United States had asked Pakistan for military bases in response to which former Prime Minister Imran Khan had said "Absolutely Not". But the United States did not ask for bases and if it did, the Pakistani army would have given the same answer Absolutely not.

At the press conference, journalists asked more than a dozen questions and DG ISPR patiently answered each one.

The commitment to non-interference in political affairs, intention of Army Chief not to take extension, reason for non-participation in the oath community, foreign interference in running trends against Pakistan Army, one question after another was making headlines Which news is bigger than the first?

In the end, the questions of the journalists ended and almost all of them got satisfactory answers, then the DG ended the press conference.

Outside, journalists were telling each other that no more important press conference had taken place this year. The news may not last for several weeks.
