In the first 11 months of the current financial year, the trade deficit reached ارب 43.33 billion.
The trade deficit for the same period last year was ارب 27.45 billion, an increase of 57.85 percent year on year.
Exports from July to May amounted to ارب 28.84 billion and imports from July to May amounted to ارب 72.18 billion.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, the trade deficit increased by 6.90% on a monthly basis.
